May The Force Be With You – Kia Kaha Te Kaha Ki A Koe

Term 4 Theme – May The Force Be With You – Kia Kaha Te Kaha Ki A Koe

Hey everyone we are back at school for term 4! This morning we started off with our immersion assembly online.
This term’s theme is May The Force Be With You – Kia Kaha Te Kaha Ki A Koe. The most important things are to feel the vibrations in sound effects and learning how we actually listen with our ears. My favourite movie out of all the teams was obviously team 5! It was my favourite because I loved how mrs Ilaoa was teasing Mr Moran and I also liked how they flicked the rubberbands on Mr Wiseman and Mr Moran. another reason why is because I actually learn a lot from the movie and I think the movie will also help me out throughout our DLO this term.

Holiday: In the two weeks holidays my family and I went to hamilton and Taupo. In hamilton we stayed at a family friend’s house for about five days. In hamilton we went to water parks, picnics, and we also went to an amusement park which was awesome and so much fun! In Taupo we stayed at a hotel near their famous “Hot Water Beach” for seven days. In Taupo we went swimming, hiking, and ate lots of food at the hotel that we had never tried before. Throughout our whole fun adventure at Hamilton and Taupo I’ve had lots of fun by spending lots of time with my family.

Goals: My goal for this term is to accomplish my Maths tasks, Literacy task, and my Inquiry task. I also want to work on my confidence for next year’s leadership roles.

I really do wish I achieve these goals by the end of the term. Thank you you for checking out my blog! Have a ✨Fabulous✨ Day! Byee 🙂

Spring Learning Journey: Making a Tuvaluan Ili (Fan)

Hey everyone! Since it’s a two week holiday I decided to do some learning and fun activities in the Spring Learning Journey Programme. The first activity was to make your own Ili which is a traditional fan from the Tuvaluan culture. I really enjoyed making this and it was a really cool activity to do because it is tuvalu language week and it’s great to make something or do something to celebrate the wonderful culture.

Karawhiua-give it heaps: Juggling Journey

Hey everyone! Our theme for this term is “Karawhiua-give it heaps!”. This term our task was to learn a new skill and create a movie of our journey on learning a new skill! There were a lot of options and I didn’t know which skill to choose but then i made up my mind and chose juggling. I will tell you that it was difficult learning a new skill especially when you have never tried it out before! Here I made a movie that shows me learning how to juggle. Check out my movie!

The Car: Response to text

Hey everyone! This week room 3’s literacy class has been reading a text called “The Car” by Andrew Rossiter. It’s a really interesting book and I really recommended it. My favourtite part was the buddy slide. My buddy was kensi and we agreed on everything and it was really fun having a buddy for a task. Thank you for checking gout my blog! Byee 🙂

Speech Reflection

Hey everyone! This Monday my literacy class and I had to present our speeches to the whole class! We were all nervous. When it was my turn to present my speech I was so nervous and scared that I might muck it up. My topic was about discriminated against on skin colour. When I was saying my speech in my mind I thought “what if I muck this up?” “Do they even like my speech?”. When I was done with my speech I felt very proud of myself and relieved since my speech was over. I think what I need to improve on more is to use hand gestures and try to memorise the whole speech. My highlight was when I finished my speech and that I didn’t get to go first. My lowlight was that I should’ve used hand gestures, but overall I was proud of myself.
